Porcelain Veneers
A professional dental laboratory creates veneers to fit over your existing teeth. These custom dental pieces are made of thin porcelain and designed to match the shape of your teeth. Then, a dentist bonds these to the front of your teeth to enhance the natural beauty of your smile.
Using veneers, a dentist can work with you to create a new look for your teeth. Veneers can serve as an alternative to a crown and can treat several dental issues while helping you look and feel your best.
Porcelain veneers provide many years of beauty for your smile, but they are not permanent. Although they are exceedingly durable, after many years, you might need to replace the veneers.
Dental Issues Veneers Can Treat
- Making crooked teeth look straighter
- Making misshapen teeth look more uniform
- Whitening teeth with extreme discoloration and stains
- Adjusting the look of teeth that are too small or too large
- Closing unwanted space between teeth
- Creating a uniform, brilliant smile
- Reshaping teeth that are extremely worn or chipped
What’s the Process for Getting Porcelain Veneers?
Getting veneers is generally a painless and simple process. You’ll visit our office twice. The first time, we’ll prepare the surface of your teeth with gentle buffing. We’ll also shape the surface of your teeth to prepare for the added thickness the veneer creates. Finally, we’ll take impressions and work with you to choose an appropriate shade of color for your veneers.
When you return for your second visit, we’ll clean your teeth with a special liquid to ensure your veneers bond well. Then, we add bonding cement to your teeth, apply the veneers, and use a special curing light to harden the cement.
The final step is learning how to care for your stunning new smile. We’ll explain how to brush and floss to keep your smile looking great.

"A little over three years ago, my older daughter Carolyn, had a bicycle accident. One of her permanent front teeth was actually knocked out. We called the office and they told us to come in immediately. It was about 6 p.m. Everyone was concerned and helpful. Dr.Guller reinserted her tooth. Needless to say, we were very frequent visitors to this office. Everyone knew us and always asked how Carolyn was doing. With everyone’s long-term help, Carolyn’s teeth look great!
Our entire family comes to Pascack Dental Arts. It’s a great place for complete dental care."
